FORMER President Rodrigo Duterte addressed speculations on Thursday night regarding his alleged assistance in hiding Pastor Apollo Quiboloy, leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC).
During a late-night press conference, Duterte emphatically denied any knowledge of Quiboloy’s whereabouts.
He jokingly challenged anyone to search his residence for the wanted pastor, offering a large sum of money for anyone who succeeded.
Duterte reiterated his desire to remain uninvolved in Quiboloy’s legal problems. Quiboloy has a standing warrant of arrest issued by the court on sex and child abuse charges. The Senate also issued a warrant for contempt after failing to appear before a committee hearing.
He humorously suggested Quiboloy be informed of his wanted status and urged him to avoid dragging Duterte into the situation.
Duterte, however, confirmed being appointed as the administrator of Pastor Quiboloy’s properties.
