DOH-XI urges public to observe health protocols for Kadayawan

THE DEPARTMENT of Health (DOH-XI) urged the public to practice minimum health standards while celebrating Kadayawan this month since there are still active COVID-19 cases in Davao City.

Annabelle Yumang, DOH-XI regional director, said the public must still be responsible for their health and safety during the upcoming Kadayawan festival, which is expected to draw crowds.

Kung tan-aw nimo vulnerable ka o dali ra matakdan og sakit (If you think that you are vulnerable or you easily get sick), please wear your face masks,” Yumang said.

Yumang also stressed that if they are already experiencing coughs or colds, it is better to stay home to get others safe from the virus.

She also urged those who were not yet vaccinated to get their COVID-19 vaccine doses for protection, as health centers continue to provide vaccination services in the city.

“It’s not only about protecting yourselves, but also about protecting others,” Yumang said.
