DOH: We don’t sell medicines, vitamins

The Department of Health (DOH) XI has advised the public to be wary of individuals selling medicines using its name.

In an advisory released on its Facebook page last March 4, the Department received an information that certain individuals are claiming to be personnel of DOH-Davao Center for Health Development office.

These individuals, the Department said, are enticing the public to buy vitamins and supplements.

“DOH advises the public to take precaution in buying products such as vitamins and supplements from people using the name of DOH,” the advisory said.

The statement also stressed that “DOH does not sell nor endorse any vitamins or supplements to the public.”

“Any unauthorized use of the name of DOH shall be investigated and be dealt with accordingly and be penalized to the fullest extent of the law,” it added.

The public is also advised to report immediately to DOH’s regional office any information of related activities where the Department’s name is used to sell any products.
