- Two dead as flames gobble warehouse
A FIRE broke out at a bodega owned by Davao Wanshida Inc. along Mudiang Road in Barangay Ilang on Tuesday afternoon, claiming the lives of two individuals.
The Davao City Fire District Station reported that the fire started around 3:10 p.m. Firefighters battled the blaze for over an hour before bringing it under control.
Finally, the firefighters declared a fire-out at 4:40 p.m.
Davao City Fire District Station spokesperson Sr. Inspector Frances Mae Sendrijas confirmed that they found two bodies in the rubble and ash.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Also, authorities are assessing the extent of the damage to the warehouse and surrounding properties.
