THE LONG weekend commemorating All Saints’ Day and All Souls’ Day in Davao City on Nov. 1-2 was peaceful as the Davao City Police Office recorded zero incidents that broke the peace and order.
DCPO spokesperson Captain Hazel Tuazon said they monitored approximately 40 public and private cemeteries starting last Thursday, Oct. 31.
Aside from cemeteries, the police also kept a watchful eye on beaches, inland resorts, and tourist destinations in the city.
An estimated 41,248 people visited cemeteries across Davao City on Nov. 2.
Meanwhile, approximately 13,000 personnel from the safety and security clusters were deployed to ensure their security.
