DCPO: Husband of slain online seller not yet off the hook

AUTHORITIES have not fully cleared the husband of the online seller stabbed to death in Ecoland by two perpetrators on March 31.

Davao City Police Office director Col. Richard Bad-ang said they already identified the two persons of interest in the fatal stabbing.

During a media interview on Tuesday at the sidelines of the 21st Sasa Wharf bombing commemoration, Bad-ang said he already visited the crime scene and spoke with the victim’s husband and witnesses.

“While one suspect approached and stabbed the victim, we’re also investigating the husband’s background as part of a thorough investigation,” he said, adding that they are only exploring all angles.

“There was no robbery, so the motive appears to be centered around the victim’s online business or a potential connection to her husband. We’re not focusing solely on one theory and are examining both possibilities,” he added.

The police director is optimistic that they could obtain vital information leading to the case’s resolution.

“This is an isolated incident. In the past few days, there have been no other reported crimes within our eight focus categories. This particular case remains our top priority,” he added.
