DCPO-CAGPTD institutionalizes PNP Patrol Plan 2030

THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) and the City Advisory Group for Police Transformation Development inaugurated its first conference and exhibit, an initiative supporting the PNP Peace and Order Agenda for Transformation and Upholding of the Rule-of-Law (Patrol) Plan 2023, held at Mapua Malayan Colleges of Mindanao on Sept. 27.

The program showcased the accomplishments of each police station in fostering best practices for the youth.

Colonel Alberto Lupaz, the DCPO chief, shared the initiative will help the youth, especially in maintaining the peace and order of the community.

“These children will become the next criminals kung walang patutunguhan,” he added.

The PNP Patrol Plan 2030 aligns with the Philippine Development Plan 2023-2028, which aims to transform the world through digitalization, servicification, dynamic innovation ecosystem, enhanced connectivity, greater collaboration between local and national government, and partnership with the private sector.

PCol Ercy Nanette Madriaga, Center for Police Strategy Management (CPSM) deputy director, said the PNP Patrol Plan 2030 envisions a “highly capable, effective, and credible police service by 2030.”

The plan also emphasized process excellence, great learning and growth, and resource management for the personnel.

In line with this initiative, Major Jake Goles, commander of the Sasa Police Station and one of the conference exhibitors, shared their program called PS4 Youth Advocates Keeper and Protector, which seeks to emerge best practices for the youth.

Yung youth natin, sila yung dapat unang advocates natin when it comes to anti-criminality, anti-terrorism, and security posture ng Davao City. Then yung keeper and protector naman, yung makukuha nilang skills and knowledge sa training, magagamit nila sa bahay nila, magkatrabaho, o magkapamilya,” Goles said.

The program also offers self-defense, basic life support, search and rescue, first-aid, and firefighting, established in the community for two days. Several police stations from different barangays also participated in the said exhibit.
