DCPO: Be alert vs thieves and robbers this season

THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) urged Davaoeños to be vigilant during the holiday season to avoid giving an inch to thieves and robbers who will take advantage of their complacency.

“On the recent robbery incident, remind lang nato sa tanan nga mag binantayon kanunay sa palibot ug dili tagaan ug opportunity ang mga kawatan nga mulampos sa ilang mga dautan nga binuhatan (On the recent robbery incident, let us remind everyone to always be on alert and not allow thieves an opportunity to succeed in their evil deeds),” Captain Hazel Tuazon said on Wednesday.

Mag matngon ang tanan sa kanunay ilabi na nga duol na ang pasko dili mag kumpyansa alerto perme labi na kung anaa sa publikong lugar (Everyone should always be careful, especially since Christmas is coming. Don’t be complacent, always be alert, especially if you are in a public place),” Tuazon added.

She urged the public to practice a culture of security and report any suspicious person or belongings to the authorities.

Kung gusto nato ug hapsay ug malinawon nga siyudad tanan ta mag pakabana gihangyo namo kanunay ang kooperasyon ug tabang sa katawhan (If we want an orderly and peaceful city, we must all be concerned. We always ask for the cooperation and help of the people),” she further said.

Moreover, she said security personnel are prepared for the start of the Simbang Gabi, or nine-day dawn masses.
