THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) arrested 80 individuals in numerous anti-criminality operations from Sept. 29 to Oct. 5.

Under the leadership of acting director Col. Hansel Marantan, the DCPO accomplished 18 anti-illegal drug operations, resulting in the arrest of 30 drug personalities and the confiscation of 33.67 grams of shabu and 6.29 grams of marijuana.

The confiscated drugs had an approximate value of P228,928.80 for shabu and P754.80 for marijuana.

Additionally, efforts against illegal gambling yielded significant results, with three gamblers arrested in two operations, two minors rescued, P630 in bet money confiscated, and two cases filed.

In pursuit of fugitives, the DCPO arrested 44 individuals, including 19 most-wanted persons and 25 others.

Moreover, five operations targeting loose firearms led to the arrest of three individuals, the confiscation of two firearms–two turned in for safekeeping–and three cases filed.

The acting city director assured that peace and order remain the top priority for the security and safety of all Davaoeños.

“Rest assured, the DCPO will continue to conduct operations to bring individuals involved in illegal activities to justice,” he said.

“The active cooperation and support of barangay officials, the community, and the local government unit are crucial to the successful operations and accomplishments of the DCPO team,” he added.
