DCOTT expects 1,000-1,5000 bus trips daily for Undas 2024

THE DAVAO City Overland Transport Terminal (DCOTT) anticipates between 1,000 and 1,500 bus trips daily, which would accommodate 50,000 to 80,000 passengers for the upcoming Undas 2024 this Nov. 1-2.

According to DCOTT manager Aisa Usop, they coordinated with the Southern Bus Operators Association for special permits from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board XI (LTFRB) to prevent a shortage of bus trips.

DCOTT coordinated with the LTFRB XI to inspect the documents and roadworthiness of the buses.

Usop added that they have also coordinated with the Task Force Davao, the Civil Service Unit, K-9 units, and the Public Safety and Security Office for the security of the bus terminal and passenger safety. In this line, 32 CCTVs will operate 24/7 inside the DCOTT.

Guards are instructed to open the gate near the Mister Donut establishment for senior citizens, PWDs, and pregnant women in case of the high number of passengers during Undas.

She also urged families, senior citizens, and PWDs to purchase online tickets to avoid crowded lines at the terminal.

Dili na sila mag linya along the terminal drive. Pwede muduol na sila sa atoang Task Force Davao nga naa sa entrance and then they will inform them nga naa na silay ticket,” she said during the media forum on Oct 30.
