DCOTT ensures adequate buses for Undas

THE DAVAO City Overland Transport Terminal (DCOTT) assured sufficient bus trips to accommodate passengers during the commemoration of All Souls Day and All Saints Day this weekend.

DCOTT manager Aisa Usop revealed they coordinated with the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board to grant special permits to bus operators to prevent a shortage of buses this Undas.

Usop added they expect bus trips to range from 1,000 to 1,500 per day, meaning they need to cater to 50,000 to 80,000 passengers.

The official also said they tightened security measures within the terminal to ensure passenger safety. She appealed to the public to cooperate with the authorities to ensure a safe journey.

Usop also reminded passengers, especially those with luggage, to only approach legitimate porters to avoid falling victim to unscrupulous individuals who may take advantage of the situation.
