TWO OF Davao Region’s most wanted criminals were arrested in separate operations on Feb. 1, 2025.
Alias Paolo, listed as the region’s sixth most wanted person, was arrested in Purok 1, Barangay San Roque, Talibon.
Alias Paolo, facing two counts of statutory rape, was handcuffed by a joint team from Calinan Police Station, 1st City Mobile Force Company, City Intelligence Team Davao-Regional Intelligence Unit XI, Provincial Mobile Force Company of Police Regional Office VII, Talibon Municipal Police Station, and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Davao Norte Provincial Field Unit.
The arrest warrant was issued by RTC Branch 33 Judge Zarah Daquila Aguisado-Silvosa on Sept. 27, 2024, with no bail recommended. He is currently under the custody of the Talibon Municipal Police Station.
Meanwhile, in Digos City, Davao del Sur, alias Johnny, the region’s top most wanted person, was apprehended in Chapter 4, Tienda Aplaya.
Johnny had a standing arrest warrant for robbery with homicide, murder, multiple attempted homicides, and grave coercion. He was arrested by a joint team from Digos City Police Station, 1104th Regional Mobile Force Battalion, 1st Davao Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company, Davao del Sur Maritime Police Station, and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Davao Sur Provincial Field Unit.
He is now under the custody of the Digos City Police Station.
“PRO XI continues to build a safer environment by tracking down criminals and other lawless elements through strengthened partnerships with local government units, barangay officials, and the public,” the police statement said.
“These intensified efforts are in support of the vision of PNP Chief, PGEN Rommel Francisco D Marbil, to enhance national security and ensure a safer environment for all citizens nationwide,” it added.
