Davao Light Service disruptions on July 17 and 18 in different areas of Davao City

 

 

 

DAVAO Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct a series of 30-minute power interruptions on July 17 and 18, affecting customers in different areas of Davao City.

There will be a two 30-minute power interruptions on July 17, Saturday, anytime between 4:30 a.m. to 5:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.. Specifically affected are customers from Mabini Street going to Holy Cross of Davao College, including part of Quirino Avenue, part of Sta. Ana Avenue and neighboring areas.

A separate 30-minute power interruption will be conducted on the same day anytime between 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. affecting customers in Guzman Street, including San Pedro Hospital and nearby areas as well as customers in Arellano Street going to Mt. Apo Street, including Davao Doctors Hospital, Limso Medical Center and neighboring areas.

These service disruptions will be necessary to facilitate distribution line upgrading works along Mabini Street.

Meanwhile, two different sets of two 30-minute power interruptions will be conducted on July 18, Sunday.

The first set of two 30-minute power interruptions will be anytime between 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. to facilitate 138 kV pole erection along Buhangin-Lapanday Road. Customers affected are from Davao Light Bajada Substation going to Panorama Homes, via Buhangin Flyover, Buhangin-Lapanday Road and Mandug Road, including Camella Northpoint, Ladislawa Village, San Pedro Village, Spring Valley, Pag-asa Homes, Pioneer Village and neighboring areas. Also affected are customers along Diversion Road in Buhangin, from crossing Milan going to crossing Angliongto Street, including NHA Buhangin and nearby areas.

Another two 30-minute power interruptions anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. will be experienced by customers in Calinan proper going to Buda, including De Lara Street, Biao Joaquin, Talandang, Manambulan, Lacson, Gumalang, Tamugan, Megcawayan, Malabog, Suawan, Salaysay, Marahan, Marilog, Datu Salumay, Baganihan and neighboring areas.

These service disruptions are necessary to conduct 69 kV pole relocation affected by the pipe laying of the Davao City Bulk Water Supply Project. Originally scheduled last July 11, these power interruptions have to be postponed since the prerequisite activity last July 9, 2021 was cancelled due to heavy rain.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
