To bring the services of government agencies closer to the people in various regions in the country, Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF), a program of Pres. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. will be conducted in Monkayo, Davao de Oro on Sept. 23-24.
More than 60 programs and services from 40 government agencies will be offered in the two-day event, BPSF National Secretariat Atty. Joy Dela Cruz said during the Kapehan sa Dabaw at SM City Ecoland yesterday,
Agencies including the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Technical Education And Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), will provide livelihood and educational services.
Application of license and clearance, ID registration and issuance can also be availed with the Philippine National Police (PNP), Land Transportation Office (LTO), Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), and the Philippine Statistics Authority.
Joining the caravan are the Department of Health, Davao Regional Medical Center, Department of Agriculture and PhilHealth, Social Security System (SSS), Pag-Ibig, Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), Department of Migrant Workers, among others.
Dela Cruz said that they are expecting more than 41,000 estimated beneficiaries in Davao de Oro alone.
Davao de Oro constituents are advised to register online through the BPSF online portal at www.bagongpilipinastayo.com. If not registered online, the registration can be done onsite.
Dela Cruz said as of Sept. 18, there are more than 10,000 who registered online. The pre-registration is to prevent the influx of people and will also be the basis for the actual fund downloading particularly the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS), Medical assistance for indigent patients (MAIP), and Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers.
The initial funding for BPSF from AICS is 81 million pesos to serve an estimated 31,535 people; DOLE with P6, 912, 500 for 2,050 people and the DOH target number of 9,000 people with a budget of 9 million pesos.
BPSF will be launched simultaneously in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte; Nabua, Camarines Sur, and Municipality of Tolosa, Leyte on the same dates.
The caravan did a dry run in the province of Biliran last August 26-27 which served 22,000 beneficiaries.
