Davao City police net minor violations in anti-criminality operation

THE STA. Ana Police Station (PS1) personnel conducted an anti-criminality operation dubbed “Oplan Ronda” in several barangays late Monday night.

The operation, which commenced at 10:50 p.m. on April 15, 2025, targeted barangays Leon Garcia, 21-C, 22-C, and 31-D.

Led by Lieutenant Renato R. Fiel under the direct supervision of Major Richeen M. Lagnayo, the station commander, the initiative involved close collaboration with barangay tanods (village watchmen) from the targeted areas.

According to the report submitted by Major Lagnayo to the the Davao City Police Office, the operation yielded the following results:

Two citation tickets were issued for violations of the Anti-Smoking ordinance.

One citation ticket was issued for a violation of the local Liquor Ban and Four individuals were apprehended for loitering half-naked in a public place.

The police emphasized that these operations are specifically focused on slum and coastal areas, as well as business establishments.

The anti-criminality operation concluded at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, 2025, with no untoward incidents reported.

This recent operation underscores the commitment of the DCPO, particularly the Sta. Ana Police Station, to proactively address potential criminal activities and ensure the safety and well-being of the community through regular patrols and the enforcement of local regulations.
