DAMOSA Land Inc. (DLI), a real estate developer will inaugurate its agri-residential 5-hectare property subdivision project known as Kahi Estates, fostering green and sustainable technology set to launch in May.
In an interview, DLI president Ricardo Lagdameo said the new project will be situated on Libby Road, Puan, Davao City.
“One thing very special about this project is we are really trying to showcase some of our sustainable initiatives. For instance, the green open space, there’s going to be quite a bit, and in the five hectares, we will only have 42 lots available for sale,” Lagdameo said.
The lot area will range from 550 to 600 square meters.
DLI said Kahi Estates “is inspired by innovative concepts that combine agriculture and residence, embracing multigenerational-living incorporating modern Filipino architecture”, and had worked with urban planner Architect Felino “Jun” Palafox Jr.
“The design of all the amenities from the guardhouse to the clubhouse, its design to catch rainwater, and we planned our roads to save those already fruit-bearing trees as much as possible,” he added.
Some of the sustainable features include retention of fruit-bearing trees, ample green spaces, tree-lined spaces, restoration of the native ecological communities, provision for vegetable gardens, butterfly roof design for rainwater harvesting and solar power integration, recycling of steel products, and construction of detention pond.
Lagdameo stressed that the new project has now been in the permitting process and hopes to start the site development in a few months.
