THE CITY Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO) will conduct road closures for the various events of the 39th Kadayawan Festival celebration.
During the iSpeak media forum on August 1, CTTMO head Dionisio Abude set plans to close roads for the Kadayawan events on August 13, 16, 17, and 18.
These dates contain events such as Konsierto Kadayawan, Kasikas Kadayawan, Pamulak ug Indak Indak sa Kadayawan, and Indak Indak sa Kadayawan Showdown and Party with most of these events located at San Pedro.
Abude also said that the route for the Pamulak sa Kadayawan on August 18 will be the same beginning at Roxas Avenue up to San Pedro. After the Pamulak sa Kadayawan, CM Recto and Roxas Avenue will be opened with another minimal road closure for the Indak Indak sa Kadayawan in the afternoon at San Pedro Square.
“Sa 17 [August] also, dunay temporary or partial road closure didto sa may CM Recto Marco Polo, sa may Bonifacio Pelayo for the installation sa stage para sa katong sa Showdown para sa Indak Indak,” he said.
During the Pamulak sa Kadayawan, alternate routes will also be given for private and public vehicles located at Quezon Boulevard and Quimpo Boulevard.
He also encouraged the public and tourists to plan their trips ahead of the scheduled road closures of the Kadayawan festival’s events to avoid traffic jams.
