CTTMO announces road closures for Kadayawan

THE CITY Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO) said that there will be no changes to the routes to be closed for the culminating Kadayawan activities, the Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan and Pamulak floral float parade on Aug. 19-20.

CTTMO head Dionesio Abude said they expect the road closure to be extended this time compared to previous festivities since the street dancing will start at 3 p.m. Traditionally, the Indak-Indak starts early in the morning and ends after lunch.

The official further disclosed that there is now a partial road closure in Bolton going to San Pedro Square. Closing that stretch allows workers to set up the stage and finish other preparations for the two events.

They also advised motorists and public utility vehicles to pass through alternative roads, although this might inconvenience to the public, who are used to following their usual routes.

The road closure surrounding San Pedro Square may also extend past this weekend to give way for the drumbeating competition set at 6 p.m. on Aug. 21.
