DETECTIVES of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) arrested an alleged former member of the “Militia ng Bayan” in Barangay Anitapan, Mabini, Davao de Oro on Wednesday dawn.
CIDG Director Ronaldo Lee identified the man as Daniel Madiano Maconlay, 54, a resident of the town.
Lee said MaMaconlay was considered a most wanted person in the town and among the most wanted in the province as he was allegedly involved in extortion activities.
Regional Trial Court Judge Celestial V. Aranda-Gonzales also issued an arrest warrant against Maconlay last year for murder.
Seized from him during the arrest were an improvised 12-gauge shotgun and live ammunition.
He was immediately brought to the Mabini Police Station for detention.
