THE COMMISSION on Elections (Comelec) XI noted 121,024 new registered applicants in Davao Region for the 2025 national elections, the fifth-highest number nationwide.
During the iSpeak forum on Apr. 11, Atty. Gay Enumerables, Comelec XI regional director, attributed the increase in applicants to their ongoing registration activities across the region, including in satellite offices.
Enumerables urged those not yet registered to visit their nearest offices and not wait for the deadline to do so as they are still open even on holidays.
“We do hope that before the deadline which is Sept. 30, magbisita na ang atoang new registrants, magtransfer or reactivate sa amoang opisina,” she said.
Based on the data, a total of 10,373 new registered applicants are from Davao del Sur, 6,815 from Davao Occidental, 30, 917 from Davao del Norte, 21, 277 from Davao de Oro, 23,075 from Davao Oriental, and 28,567 from Davao City.
She also mentioned the available schedule for satellite registration such as in NCCC Mall Victoria Plaza on Apr. 30 for the First District, and Gaisano Mall of Toril on Apr. 13 for the Third District.
