THE COMMISSION on Elections XI assured that there will be no tampering using the automated counting machines (ACMs) in therhor.
Miru Systems Co. Ltd. from South Korea is the provider of the ACMs for these elections.
Atty. Gay Enumerables, Comelec XI director, explained that the election results cannot be manipulated because the machines are pre-programmed and secure.
The filing period for certificates of candidacy (COC) will be from Oct. 1 to 8, 2024, and the campaign period will run from February to March of the following year.
Enumerables also urged the public to register with Comelec before the deadline on September 20.
Comelec’s satellite registration continues across various areas in the Davao Region to facilitate processing and registration, as well as transferring or deactivating records.
