THE COMMISSION on Elections (Comelec) has announced that candidates and political parties who submitted their online campaign platforms in compliance with Resolution No. 11064 may continue their digital campaigning activities.
According to Comelec Minute Resolution No. 25-0449, dated April 14, 2025, those who submitted their platforms in good faith to the Comelec Education and Information Department, through the Task Force KKK sa Halalan, can proceed with their online campaigns while the Commission En Banc addresses belated or deficient registrations.
The decision allows candidates and parties to maintain their online presence and engage with voters through digital platforms, pending further review by the Comelec.
However, the commission emphasized that this authorization is “without prejudice to the appropriate sanction or legal action” should any online campaign platform be found to violate Comelec rules, regulations, or applicable laws.
Task Force KKK sa Halalan will continue to monitor online campaign activities, and the public is encouraged to report any potential violations.
Reminder: Campaigning blackout on Holy Week
The committee also reminded all candidates and parties that campaigning, including online, is strictly prohibited on April 17, 2025 (Maundy Thursday) and April 18, 2025 (Good Friday), in observance of the Holy Week.
Comelec urged all candidates and parties to adhere to election laws and regulations to ensure a fair and transparente lectoral process.
