THE TASK Force-Davao has announced that another phase of the Davao City-Wide Culture of Security Simulation Exercise (SIMEX) will be conducted in the city this week.
Authorities are requesting the understanding and cooperation of all Dabawenyos, as traffic congestion and travel delays are expected during the exercise.
The SIMEX will be held to reinforce the city’s Culture of Security campaign, which emphasizes the “May Nakita, Dapat Magsalita” (If you see something, say something) principle.
Authorities are reiterating that the public should not panic, as this is merely a simulation exercise.
The exercise is designed to test and improve the city’s security and emergency response protocols. This type of exercise is used to measure the interoperability of the security cluster in addressing threats.
The city of Davao regularly conducts these types of simulations, to keep the security forces ready for any type of event.
