A CITY-LEVEL drug target was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Sta. Ana police in Davao City early Friday morning.
The operation, which took place around 1:18 a.m. at Alley 12, South San Juan, Barangay Centro, Agdao, resulted in the arrest of a 29-year-old suspect identified as “Den-den.”
Captain Hazel Tuazon, spokesperson for the Davao City Police Office, said Den-den is a window installer and resident of Nagsil Village, Barangay Centro, Agdao.
According to the report, an undercover police officer successfully purchased a sachet of suspected shabu from Den-den for P500. A subsequent search yielded a coin purse containing four more sachets of suspected shabu.
The seized suspected drugs and non-drug evidence were marked and inventoried at the scene with the required witnesses present, including the suspect himself.
The estimated street value of the confiscated suspected shabu is P148,648.
Den-den is currently in police custody for the filing of an appropriate case for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002). The suspected shabu will undergo qualitative and quantitative examination at the Davao City Forensic Unit, while the non-drug evidence will be turned over to the evidence custodian.
