Central 911 hotline under maintenance on April 11

THE CENTRAL 911 hotline will be temporarily unavailable to accept calls from PLDT, Smart, and Sun networks due to the transfer of the office to a new location.

The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) shared the announcement on its Facebook page on Monday, April 8.

CDRRMO advised the public of a 4-hour downtime of inbound calls from these networks on Thursday, April 11, 1-4 p.m.

During this period, users from these networks may call 0905-459-3842 for emergency needs. However, users of other networks not mentioned may still use the 911 hotline.

Dabawenyos may also reach the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) numbers: 0998-598-7054 or 0916-659-2576 for security concerns.

CDRRMO chief Alfredo Baloran said the transfer is necessary to enhance the office’s emergency response to the needs of the Davaoeños.

“While the temporary unavailability of the Davao City Central 911 Hotline may pose an inconvenience, CDRRMO-Central 911 assures the public that all efforts are carefully considered and undertaken to minimize disruptions to ensure uninterrupted delivery,” Baloran said in an interview with the city information office.

The Emergency Calls Answering Point and Dispatch will be transferred from the Public Safety and Security Office (PSSO) to the newly renovated second-floor mezzanine hall of the CDRRMO-Central 911 Building Compound.
