Celebrating McDonald’s crew by saying ‘Salamuch!’

Always grateful. McDonald’s builds a culture of gratitude through initiatives like the National Salamuch Crew Day and many others.

MANILA, Philippines – McDonald’s Philippines said “Thank you” to its hardworking crew members during the celebration of National Salamuch Crew Day last March. Up to 45,000 hardworking crew members were gathered for fun in-person games and other surprise activities, parts of which were live-streamed in all stores nationwide.

The National Salamuch Crew Day celebration was just one of the many ways McDonald’s expresses its gratitude and appreciation for its energetic crew. By putting its people first, it is committed to building a safe, inclusive, and welcoming work environment, as well as making sure to recognize and appreciate the achievements of employees.

Customers were also encouraged to say “Salamuch crew” in store or online. Select stores have dedicated a space where guests can post handwritten messages showing their appreciation for the McDo staff. Customers were also invited to create public social media posts to express their gratitude to the nearly 45,000 hardworking service crew who have helped make McDo one of the most loved brands in the world.

Started in 2023, the National Salamuch Crew Day is part of McDonald’s Philippines’ efforts to show its appreciation for its people. It serves as an expression of the company’s commitment to promoting a culture of gratitude, while also nurturing a work environment where everyone can grow.
