A CITIZEN Armed Forces Geographical Unit (Cafgu) personnel was arrested in Purok 3, Barangay Mainit, Nabunturan, Davao de Oro, at around 7:30 p.m. on March 15.
Nephi Noli Dimaandal, the spokesperson of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) XI, identified him as Jerry Bation, 39, married, and a resident of the place.
According to Dimaandal, the suspect was 10th on the regional drug target list.
The buy-bust was conducted by joint operatives led by the Davao de Oro Provincial Office of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office XI and Police Regional Office XI, Davao de Oro Police Provincial Office, and Nabunturan Municipal Police Station.
He said the suspect was arrested for selling a sachet of suspected shabu weighing more or less one gram worth P12,000 to a PDEA agent who acted as the buyer.
Four sachets with suspected shabu in different sizes weighing more or less two grams with a total estimated value of P13,600 and the buy-bust marked money were also seized during the operation, the report said.
The suspect will be charged with violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) Article II of Republic Act 9165 ( Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Bation could also face perpetual disqualification from service as stated in Article II, Section 28 (Criminal Liability of Government Officials and Employees) of R.A. 9165.
