The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has recently joined forces with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) – Regional Office XI to advance their shared mission of promoting financial education and empowerment among the workforce.
Last January 17, BPI conducted a financial wellness session aimed at enhancing the financial literacy and resilience of PRC personnel, as well as select groups of professionals and aspiring professionals in Davao City. The session equipped participants with practical knowledge and tools to make informed financial decisions, supporting their journey toward long-term financial security and well-being.
Led by BPI Wealth Senior Investment Advisor Eric John Endres, the financial wellness session covered some of the fundamental personal finance topics such as budgeting, financial planning, and investing, as well as the various accessible investment options.
The collaboration marks BPI’s continued commitment to empowering communities through financial education and strategic partnerships.
“We are excited to be here in Davao City to conduct a financial wellness session tailored specifically for professionals. Last year, our team made stops in key cities across the Philippines, bringing financial wellness programs to MSMEs, cooperatives, and local government employees. This year, we are taking it a step further by broadening our reach to equip professionals and other sectors with the tools they need to achieve financial security and growth,” said Maria Elena Torrijos, BPI Public Affairs and Communications Head.

“This partnership with BPI marks another milestone in our efforts to build lasting relationships to various partners that share the same ideals and values we hold dear. Together, we will dedicate these items to make a lasting impact on the lives we pledge to serve as public servants and as a private organization,” said Raquel Abrantes, Regional Director of PRC – Regional Office XI.
The agency administers exams for 46 professions, serving examinees from Davao and cities in neighboring regions such as Koronadal, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, and Kidapawan.
“At BPI, we understand that managing finances is a deeply personal journey. That is why we are committed to being a constant and reliable partner for Filipinos, helping them achieve their financial goals—whether they are just starting out or already established in their fields. This commitment aligns with our vision of building a better Philippines—one family, one community at a time,” said Torrijos.
