‘Bike out’ advocates for healthy lifestyle

THE RETURN of ROX Ride Out, a 24-kilometer fun bike ride, drew 28 biking enthusiasts across Davao City last Saturday, Oct. 12.

The sunrise ride took participants along the entire stretch of the scenic coastal road, with a pit stop at City Hall, before continuing to CM Recto Avenue, Quezon Boulevard, R Castillo Street, JP Laurel Avenue, and finally culminating at the Ayala Malls Abreeza grounds.

“This is actually a nationwide ride held in key cities across the country to celebrate biking as a fun mode of transportation,” said Primer Group of Companies area sales supervisor Mae Sanchez. “It not only promotes a healthy body and environment but also helps alleviate traffic congestion, especially in urban areas.”

ROX Ride Out events, last held in Davao City back in 2022, were also held in Manila, Olangapo, Baguio, Cebu, and Cagayan de Oro cities on different dates this month.

The ride concluded with a short program at the finish line in Ayala Malls Abreeza where the organizers raffled off merchandise from ROX Philippines (Norregade and Gladiator products), Anytime Fitness vouchers, Omega Pain Killer products, and a Timex watch. Pocari Sweat provided free recovery drinks to all participants. Various fun games were also conducted, with participants taking home special tokens.

“We are incredibly grateful to our Dabawenyo riders who joined the ride out, supporting us in promoting a healthy lifestyle and fostering a sense of community among bike enthusiasts,” added Sanchez.

The ROX Ride Out was made possible by Fox, Ayala Malls Abreeza, Timex, Gladiator, Norregade, Red Bull, Anytime Fitness, International Pharmaceuticals Inc, TrailHeadaPH, Team Brad, Pocari Sweat, Pitik ni Himes 9, and Subida TV.
