BDO UNIBANK Inc. (BDO) received the prestigious 5 Golden Arrow recognition, the highest award for Corporate Governance from the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) at the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard (ACGS) Golden Arrow Awards 2024.

The Golden Arrow Award is presented to top publicly listed companies that achieved a score of at least 80 points in the ACGS assessment. The scorecard is composed of 184 questions based on publicly available disclosures on the companies’ websites. It aims to measure the performance of companies in the areas of shareholder rights facilitation, equitable treatment of shareholders, transparency and accountability through timely disclosure of information and board performance, and the board’s accountability to the company and the shareholders. A higher score signifies better conformance with the requirements of the Philippine Code of Corporate Governance and internationally recommended corporate governance practices as espoused by the ACGS.

“This accolade embodies BDO’s commitment to excellence in corporate governance. We consistently enhance our corporate governance processes and policies to achieve sustainable success and long-term value for our stakeholders,” said Nestor V. Tan, president and CEO of BDO Unibank.
