Baste | old FM passes can still be used until…

VICE MAYOR Sebastian Duterte said the city government decided to implement a new set of Food and Medicine (FM) passes because there were complaints that some of the old ones were already missing and that these old passes could be faked,

He added that the new FM passes could be used especially if the city is reverted back to the stricter Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), although he added that there was no plan of doing so.

ECQ is when only essential travel, like work and buying of food and medicine, is allowed.

He assured city residents that the old Food and Medicine (FM) passes until the distribution of the new ones is completed.

In an interview over Davao City Disaster Radio on Thursday, Duterte said the distribution of the new FM passes is still going on.

He said 137 of the 182 barangays in the city have received the new passes.

The city government decided to come up with the new ones as there were complaints that some of the old ones were already missing and that these old passes could be faked.

He added that there are design changes in the new FM passes as they have larger control numbers so they can easily be visible to authorities and that a color represents a district, but the guidelines in using them still remain the same.
