A MEMBER of the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team was killed while another was injured after they were shot at Crossing Mapantad, Barangay Sainz, Mati City, around 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 10.
Nicholas Cosicol, 61, married, a resident of Purok Mabuhay, Barangay Sainz, died at the scene after he was hit by a bullet on the head. Meanwhile, Crisostomo Balog was wounded in his right leg.
According to the Police Regional Office XI report, the victims were on duty at the BPAT outpost when they were suddenly shot by unknown perpetrators resulting in injuries.
For now, the Mati City Police is investigating the motive and the identity of the perpetrators.
