A Councilman of Barangay Subasta, Calinan District is facing a case before the City Council for allegedly mauling a police auxiliary.
Volunteer police auxiliary Ramel Viva, 26, of Purok 10, Barangay Subasta filed the complaint against Barangay Kagawad Eric Urquiza for slight physical injuries.
The City Council directed the Committee on Ethics and Good Government to look into the complaint during its regular session last Tuesday.
According to Viva, the incident happened during a fiesta concert in Purok 4, Kapihan, Subasta last Sept. 30. He was part of the volunteer guards.
He said a commotion erupted inside the concert venue, prompting him to rush to the scene.

“He was angry at me because, according to him, I wasn’t able to control my neighbors,” Viva said.
“But of course, I have to guard many other people that time,” he added. “I don’t have time to go after (all) my neighbors.”
