Army women, dependents join 10th ID healthcare fair

THE CAMP General Manuel T Yan Sr. Station Hospital (CGMTYSSH) and the Gender and Development Office of the 10th Infantry Division conducted a healthcare fair for women at their Mawab, Davao De Oro headquarters on March 15.

Major Mark Anthony Tito, the 10th Infantry Division Public Affairs Office chief, said 87 women composed of officers, enlisted personnel, civilian human resources, and military dependents from 10ID joined the activity.

During the activity, military doctors and nurses assisted Davao Regional Medical Center (DRMC) physicians led by Dr. Bryan O. Dalid in conducting Breast Ultrasound, Cervical Screening, Medical Consultations, Human Papillomavirus (HPV) Vaccination, and Breast and Cervical Cancer Awareness.

In his message, 10ID assistant division commander BGen Allan D Hambala said the activity was a powerful reminder of the importance of advocating for women’s health and well-being.

“As we celebrate National Women’s Month, we recognize the critical role that women play in our society – as mothers, daughters, sisters, caregivers, and among others,” BGen Hambala added.

The activity entitled “Serbisyong Pangkalusugan para Kay Juana” aimed to meet the health needs of women regardless of what they want to know about their health.
