Army Reserve Command enhances skills through US National Guard training

THE 10TH Regional Community Defense Group (10RCDG) of the Philippine Army Reserve Command completed a four-day Signal Operations and Leadership Development Training program in partnership with the Guam and Hawaii National Guards (Gung/Hing).

The training, held at Camp Evangelista from July 10-14, focused on strengthening the skills and readiness of the reserve force.

The State Partnership Program initiative involved 40 officers and non-commissioned officers from the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Technical and Administrative Services.

Participants engaged in knowledge and skill-sharing with Gung/Hing experts, covering essential areas such as military communication and leadership development.

Major General Joel Alejandro S. Nacnac, deputy chief of staff for Reservist and Retiree Affairs, J9, AFP, delivered the keynote address at the opening ceremony.

He joined the Gung/Hing delegation in a courtesy call with 4th Infantry Division commander MGen. Jose Maria R. Cuerpo II.

Cuerpo emphasized the importance of such collaborations in building a resilient reserve force, stating, “Through this partnership, we not only develop new skill sets but also gain valuable insights into the broader operational landscape.”
