Apo Agua donates rolls of pipes to for District 3’s water supply systems

APO AGUA Infrastructura, Inc. (Apo Agua) through its Project Blue Initiative partnered with the Aboitiz Foundation, donated 134 rolls of pipes and appurtenances to support the enhancement of the Barangay Water Supply Systems in Barangay Tamugan on July 31.

This covers the sitios in Sualon, Sto. Nino, San Roque, and Tamugan Proper (Centro) under the Davao City Water District’s (DCWD) TABAWI-TAMTAM Rural Water Systems Development Program.

“These key infrastructure projects involve a collaborative and community-driven approach to promoting peace, health, and overall development in District 3,” Apo Agua said in a statement.

The donation of water supply materials was also in line with the turnover of the new Community Police Assistance Center by the Davao City Police Office Station and the inauguration of the communal faucets.

District 3 Councilor Alberto Ungab said community development projects in their areas are helping a lot, especially with the community’s needs.

“These facilities must be protected because this is really the target of internal and external forces. If you know how to make an economy run, make sure that the private sector is working. In the 3rd district, the interplay between the government and the private sector is very good,” Ungab said.

Also present at the turnover event were Myrna Dalodo-Ortiz, Congressman Isidro Ungab, and key representatives from DCPO, Barangays Gumalang and Tamugan, DCWD, and Apo Agua.

Last month, a series of medical missions were conducted in the Davao City Bulk Water Supply Project host communities of Gumalang, Tamugan, Wines, Tawantawan, and Tambobong, and brought health services to 1,340 residents.
