Additional vehicles, new assets to strengthen the city’s disaster response

THE CITY government on Wednesday turned over additional assets, including 22 vehicles and essential rescue equipment, to various offices.

This is to provide better services to its constituents, especially during emergency and disaster response.

The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office acquired 1 unit of rubber boat equipment; ram jack (1); engine duo pump (1); life detector device (1); spreader  (1); 1 set hydraulic hose (blue) and one orange; 1 set double hose reel core; V struts (1); mobile high-pressure compressor  (1); 120 pcs rescue helmets with headlamp and units each of fiberglass multipurpose ladder and portable power station. 

The units are currently undergoing further inspection, commissioning procedures, and ongoing payment processes before they are officially deployed for operational use. 

Last December, the city also turned over 38 disaster and emergency response vehicles sourced from the Local DRRM Fund and the Annual Development Fund.
