MOTORCYCLE-RIDING killers gunned down an unidentified male passenger inside Speed 13 Taxi along Circumferential Road, Barangay 19-B, at around 11 a.m. on June 19.
The taxi driver, 39, from Tugbok Relocation, Los Amigos, Davao City, said he picked up the passenger at the Hall of Justice in Ecoland and they headed toward Ladislawa.
As the taxi passed Iglesia Ni Cristo church on Circumferential Road, he suddenly heard gunshots and breaking glass. The driver noticed the passenger-side window on the front seat shattered and immediately stopped the vehicle on the curb.
Upon exiting the taxi, he saw two unidentified perpetrators speeding off on a motorcycle heading northbound.
The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene as declared by Central 911 medical rescuers.
Moreover, a crime scene investigation led by PLT Bernadeth Magallanes recovered four fired .45 caliber casings and one fired bullet.
Meanwhile, the Davao City Police Office is conducting a follow-up investigation to identify and apprehend the suspects.
