CoinEx and Laguna Media Corps Co-Organize Media Seminar on Digital Literacy and Cybercrime Awareness

CoinEx, in partnership with Laguna Media Corps, successfully co-organized a media seminar titled “Digital Information Dissemination, Cybercrime Awareness & Prevention, and Digital Financial Literacy.” The event aimed to equip media professionals with essential knowledge on digital communication, cybercrime prevention, and the fundamentals of cryptocurrency.

The seminar featured esteemed speakers who shared their expertise on critical topics. Veteran DZRJ Radio Reporter and Philippine National Press Club member, Mr. Felix Tambongco, discussed the growing issue of “Fake News and its Impact on Media Integrity”. Representatives from the Philippine National Police Cybercrime Office, PSSG Cherry Pie Azarcon and PMSG Rufa Lachica of Cybercrime RACU4-A, provided valuable insights on “Cybercrime Awareness” and prevention strategies.

Adding a crypto-focused perspective, CoinEx Country Manager Dell Omasas highlighted the “Misconceptions about Crypto and the Good News about Crypto”, debunking myths and shedding light on the earning opportunities within the blockchain and cryptocurrency space. His session emphasized the importance of crypto literacy in today’s digital economy.

The event saw over 50 media professionals in attendance, including journalists, writers, and reporters from prominent outlets such as the Philippine Information Agency, Daily Bulletin PH, People’s Tonight, Manila Standard, GMA TV, and more. Participants gained a deeper understanding of effective digital communication, cybercrime prevention, and the transformative potential of cryptocurrency.
