A RAPE suspect listed as one of the region’s Top 8 Most Wanted Persons has been apprehended by authorities in Davao City.
The Police Regional Office XI identified him as Jupet Purisima Roquite was arrested on Jan. 11, 2025, in Barangay Malagos, Baguio District, according to a statement from the Davao City Police Office (DCPO).
Roquite had been the subject of a warrant of arrest issued in November 2024 with no bail recommended.
A joint team from Baguio Police Station, the DCPO, the Regional Special Operations Group, and the Criminal Investigation Detection Group conducted the operation.
Brig Gen Leon Victor Z Rosete, PRO 11 regional director, praised the teamwork and dedication of the officers involved in the arrest.
“This successful operation is a clear manifestation of our steadfast commitment to bringing justice to victims of heinous crimes and ensuring that offenders are held accountable,” he said.
Roquite is currently in custody at the Baguio Police Station while awaiting further legal proceedings.
