TWO DRUG suspects were arrested after allegedly yielding over P1 million worth of suspected shabu at 12:26 a.m. on Jan. 10, 2025, at a Task Force Davao checkpoint in Barangay Sirawan, Toril.
Personnel from various units, including Special Operations Unit XI, Police Station 8, Task Force Falcon, Task Force Davao, and the 1st City Mobile Force Company, participated in the operation.
During the checkpoint, authorities apprehended alias Hassan, 24, and Abdul, 22, both residents of South Cotabato. The subsequent search found three jumbo-sized sachets containing suspected meth with an estimated street value of ₱1,024,760.
Police also seized a green sling bag and two cellular phones from the two.
The Regional Forensic Unit XI took custody of the evidence for the confirmatory test.
The suspects were brought to Police Station 8 in Toril as they faced criminal complaints for violation of sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 ( Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
