SSS trains 160 public sector partners on digital tools and services

DAVAO CITY – The Social Security System (SSS) provided comprehensive information on SSS benefits, services and available digital tools to 160 partners from the government sector during the recently held Barangay and Other Offsite E-Centers Online Services Training (B.O.O.S.T) Program.

Atty. Marissa C. Mapalo, SSS Department Manager III for Member Education Department, said the program aims to provide in-depth knowledge and skills to all assigned personnel who manage the offsite SSS e-centers.

“We must help our partners increase their mastery in navigating our website, My.SSS portal, and the SSS Mobile App to assist their constituents with their transactions. We want them to maximize the benefits of digitalization,” Mapalo said.

Since 2022, the SSS has collaborated with Local Government Units (LGUs), National Government Agencies (NGAs), and State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) for the establishment of offsite e-centers that offered an alternative to conveniently access SSS online services without visiting the SSS branches.

SSS Davao Branch head Alnora Y. Presbitero emphasized the importance of making government information and digital services accessible to everyone. “SSS has been exerting all efforts to bridge the digital divide by improving our online services and making them more accessible in places such as barangay and municipal halls, as well as job sites. We would like to thank all our program partners for this collaborative learning activity, which helped bring quality benefits and services closer to our members, pensioners and their beneficiaries,” Presbiterio concluded.
