DCPO intensifies anti-drug operations, nets nine suspects

THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) has intensified its campaign against illegal drugs, resulting in the arrest of nine individuals and the seizure of various illegal drugs worth P77,180.52 in just 24 hours.

The operations were conducted by various police stations and the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) under the leadership of DCPO director Col. Hanssel M. Marantan.

The operations were from the following: 

  • Sta. Ana Police Station: seized P11,016 worth of shabu 
  • San Pedro Police Station seized P2,668 worth of marijuana leaves
  • Buhangin Police Station seized P16,243.20 worth of marijuana leaves 
  • Baguio Police Station seized  P2,380 worth of shabu 
  • Mandug Police Station confiscated P8,160 worth of shabu 
  • Ecoland Police Station seized P8,364 worth of shabu 
  • Los Amigos Police Station confiscated  P2,305.32 worth of marijuana leaves 
  • City Drug Enforcement Unit seized P26,044 worth of shabu.

“We are committed to serving the people of Davao City with utmost sincerity and dedication,” Marantan said. “The relentless efforts of our police officers, coupled with the active support of the community, have led to these significant accomplishments.” 

Moreover, the DCPO continues to urge the public to report any suspicious activities related to drug trafficking and use.
