THE DAVAO City Police Office (DCPO) apprehended seven suspects and seized over P150,000 worth of shabu in a series of operations conducted within the past 24 hours.
Acting city director Col Hansel M Marantan reported that five separate anti-drug operations were carried out across different police stations, thanks to information provided by concerned citizens.
“The community’s active participation in our fight against illegal drugs is invaluable,” said Marantan. “Their willingness to report suspicious activities has significantly contributed to the success of these operations.”
The most significant drug haul came from PS6-Bunawan where police confiscated shabu with an estimated street value of P136,000.
Other successful operations included:
- PS3-Talomo: Shabu worth P2,040 seized.
- PS8-Toril: Marijuana leaves with an estimated value of P289 confiscated.
- PS18-Bajada: Shabu worth P20,400 seized.
Marantan emphasized the link between illegal drugs and crime in the city. “We are committed to eradicating this menace to ensure the safety and security of all Davaoeños,” he said. “These operations will continue unabated.”
