SCENE CITY | Red Cross youth councils hold Inter-School First Aid Competition

EIGHT Philippine Red Cross youth councils held an Inter-School First Aid Competition on Sept. 14, 2024, at the University of Southeastern Philippines – Obrero Campus Gymnasium. 

The competition was held to promote safety awareness, enhance emergency response readiness, encourage competence in first aid skills, and develop unity and sportsmanship among RCY members at all school levels, both private and public. The participants competed in various events such as Basic Life Support, Bleeding Control and Bandaging Relay, Patient Transfer Relay, Splinting Relay, and Situational Problem Solving. 

Overall winners were:

  1. Junior Red Cross Youth 2nd Runner up – Upper Sirib 1st Runner up – Kapitan Tomas Champion – SPCT 
  2. Senior Red Cross Youth 2nd Runner up;   SPCT 1st Runner up;  DRANHS;  Champion – UIC 

c- Senior Plus Red Cross Youth 2nd Runner up; MMCM 1st Runner-up SPC; Champion – UIC 

  1. College Red Cross Youth 1st Runner up – ADDU Champion – SPC

Derrick Tan, PRC Davao City Chapter chairman led the board of directors and members who attended the event. CYC President Dirk Andrei Salcedo led the officers with Louise Armilla in the exciting First Aid Competition.
