Ex-AdDU prof files COC for 2nd district councilor

A FORMER Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) professor was the first to register his name as a candidate in the 2nd district for the 2025 National and Local Elections.

Antonio A. Emberda,  68, a resident of Nova Tierra, Barangay Vicente Hizon Sr., is a first-timer in seeking a seat in the government.

An independent candidate, Embarda said he is looking into the development of the agricultural supply chain on the marketing side as well as pre-production interventions.

“I think I have that kind of experience which I could share. I used to work in the agriculture and manufacturing industry,” he added.

He shared that he used to own a farm in Malita, Davao Occidental, and Arakan, North Cotabato.

When asked what his edge was among the local political party lineup of councilors, he said, “Just my brain.”

He used to teach statistics, quantitative, strategic management, production, and the doctorate in business administration at the AdDU School of Business and Governance.

Embarda urged Davaoeños to vote for him and come up with an idea on “how politics must achieve some kind of improvement in the community.”
