THE DAVAO Dive Expo 2024 at SM Lanang on July 5-7 will bring together stakeholders, advocates, enthusiasts, and conservation groups to showcase and promote marine life.

“The theme this year is ‘Dive with a purpose.’ We are going to highlight our advocacy for marine conservation and protection,“ Department of Tourism XI operations officer Kat Rubio said during the PEP Talks forum on Tuesday, June 25.

Attendees can explore the different dive destinations in Davao Region, such as the Island Garden City of Samal, Mati in Davao Oriental, and Mabini, Davao de Oro, through the exhibits and pop-up booths at the event. A total of 23 exhibitors have committed to join the Davao Dive Expo 2024.

Various groups will promote their projects and advocacies relating to marine life. Renowned underwater photographer Ram Yoro and content creator freediver Cha Ocampo will be the guest speakers for the event.

The event will highlight the seven-hectare Davao Gulf Divers Marine Park in Mabini in Davao De Oro. Divers will present the impact of the marine park on the coral reefs during its nine-month project run.

The Davao Dive Expo 2024 is open for everyone to join and see the different underwater treasures that the region presents while promoting and bringing awareness to marine conservation and protection.
