THE PHILIPPINE Army officially opened its newly constructed Instructor’s Barracks at the 10th Division Training School Annex on May 27.
Major General Potenciano Camba, Chief of Staff of the Philippine Army, and Major General Allan Hambala, commander of the 10th Infantry Division, presided over the dedication and opening ceremony held in Sitio Teril, Barangay Kapatagan.
Senior officers of the 10th Infantry Division, personnel, and Citizen Armed Force Geographical Unit (Cafgu) Active Auxiliary students undergoing basic military training also attended the event.
In his address, Camba highlighted the significance of the upgraded barracks: the improved facilities demonstrate the Army’s commitment to the well-being and success of its troops; Modernized living quarters can enhance morale, leading to better operational readiness; and the new barracks could potentially include features that support gender equality within the military.
Hambala thanked the Philippine Army leadership for their support in realizing the new facility. He emphasized the importance of collaboration in achieving shared goals.
The upgraded barracks represent a significant step forward for the 10th Division Training School and the Agila Division (10th Infantry Division). The enhanced facilities are expected to create a more conducive environment for learning, development, and building strong bonds among instructors and trainees, he said.
