MORE THAN 2,000 Davao City Police Office (DCPO) personnel underwent a surprise inspection by the Regional Internal Affairs Office (RIAS) on Wednesday, May 22, at its headquarters.
DCPO spokesperson Captain Hazel Tuazon explained during yesterday’s AFP-PNP press briefing held at The Royal Mandaya Hotel that the annual inspection ensures law enforcers adhere to regulations and comply with official functions.
“The RIAS regional director will provide guidelines on proper conduct during operations, emphasizing police procedure and human rights observance,” Tuazon said.
The inspection included uniform checks, ensuring proper attire, and verifying that personnel still possess their personal ATM cards. “Missing ATM cards will result in demerits,” Tuazon clarified.
Tuazon emphasized that the inspection is not a loyalty check, but a routine measure to ensure professionalism within the DCPO.
