DAVAO Light and Power Co., Inc. will conduct a series of power interruptions on July 1, 2, and 3, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, affecting customers in Downtown Davao City.
These power interruptions are necessary to normalize Gaisano Substation and conduct maintenance works on P. Reyes Transformer 1.
The first power interruption will be for 15 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on July 1, Saturday, for Gaisano Substation’s normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up.
Specifically affected are customers in the portion of Diversion Road from Earth Grain to corner Jade Valley, as well as a portion of the downtown area from Gaisano Substation to Aeon Tower Bajada, a portion of Guerrero Street, a portion of Uyanguren from Tebros Hardware up to Bohol Trading, Gaisano Mall Bajada, and nearby areas.
The second power interruption will be for one hour, anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on July 2, Sunday, to facilitate the transfer of loads from the affected lines to nearby substations to conduct maintenance works on P. Reyes Transformer 1.
Specifically affected are customers along C. Bangoy Street, from Davao Light Office to Rizal Street Junction, including Rizal Street, Rizal Extension, Pelayo Street, Inigo Street, and nearby areas; along San Pedro Street, from Lachmi to Pelayo Crossing, and nearby areas; and those along A.Pichon Street, from Quirino Junction to Wisons Shopping Center, and nearby areas.
Also affected are customers along Quirino Avenue, from DepEd Davao City Division Office to Bankerohan Bridge and nearby areas; along General McArthur Highway, from Bankerohan Bridge to Matina Town Square and nearby areas; and those along Mabini Street, from Quirino Junction to Circumferential Road, and nearby areas.
Customers in the portion of Marfori Area, including Ruby Street, Gold Street, and nearby areas, as well as those in the portion of Maa, including Eden Street, Datu Luho Street, Maa Bridge, and nearby areas, will also be affected by this service disruption.
Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads back to their normal set-up will be for 30 minutes, anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. on July 3, Monday, after conducting maintenance works on P. Reyes Transformer 1.
Specifically affected are customers along C. Bangoy Street, from Davao Light Office to Rizal Street Junction, including Rizal Street, Rizal Extension, Pelayo Street, Inigo Street, and nearby areas.
Also affected are customers along San Pedro Street, from Lachmi to Pelayo Crossing, and nearby areas; and those along A.Pichon Street, from Quirino Junction to Wisons Shopping Center, and nearby areas.
Lastly, customers along Quirino Avenue, from Dep Ed Davao City Division Office to Bankerohan Bridge, and nearby areas, as well as those along General McArthur Highway, from Bankerohan Bridge to Matina Town Square, and nearby areas, will also be affected by this service disruption.
Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
